BBR Webinar Series Fall 2017 Lineup
November 3, 2017, 12-1 p.m. – Changing Business Issues Over 6 Years of Economic Recovery
This webinar will examine how the concerns facing Nebraska business have changed during the long-running economic recovery.
The Bureau of Business Research has been surveying 500 Nebraska businesses each month since January of 2012, and asking owners and managers about their top business issue. We will track how issues such as taxes, regulation, labor availability, customer demand, and competition came to, and fell from, the forefront as economic conditions improved.
November 17, 2017, 12-1 p.m. – Producer Services in Nebraska - Is the State making Progress?
The producer services industry – which includes businesses that provide services to other businesses, including information technology, engineering, and accounting – is the fastest growing source of high wage jobs in the United States economy.
Nebraska has many strong and growing producer services businesses, but typically lags the nation in the share of the economy in this high wage industry. This webinar will examine whether Nebraska has been closing the gap in the recent years.
December 15, 2017, 12-1 p.m. – Nebraska Economic Forecast
